Make a Donation
Mitchell Tech is geared up to train the next generation of skilled workers, but constantly changing technology means that we need to continually modify equipment and labs to keep pace with changing industry trends.
You can be a part of providing the next generation of skilled workers the education and training they need. Your contribution can provide a scholarship or program support, both of which help to fulfill our top needs.

Create a Scholarship or Endowment
Support scholarships with a one-time gift, recurring contributions, or a multi-year pledge. You may contribute to an existing scholarship or work with the Foundation to establish a new one and help shape its criteria.
An endowed scholarship is designed to provide lasting support while preserving the principal. Establishing one requires a minimum commitment of $25,000; awards typically begin about 12 months after the fund is fully funded and invested.

The Mitchell Technical College Foundation provides meaningful opportunities for donors to make a lasting impact through annual giving, scholarships, program support, endowments, and planned giving. Every contribution helps strengthen educational access, student success, and the long-term sustainability of Mitchell Technical College.
Whether you wish to support the area of greatest need, establish a scholarship, contribute to a program you care about, or leave a legacy gift, there are flexible giving options available to meet your philanthropic goals.
Give online or work with the Foundation to arrange a one-time contribution, annual gift or multi-year pledge. Recurring gifts offer a convenient way to support students and programs over time.
Include a gift to the Foundation in your will or trust, such as a specific amount, property or a percentage of your estate. A bequest lets you retain control of your assets during your lifetime and can generally be updated as your plans change.
Name the Foundation as a beneficiary of all or part of an IRA or other retirement account using your plan’s beneficiary designation form. This can be a simple way to leave a future gift and may offer tax advantages for your estate or heirs. If you want your spouse to be the primary beneficiary, you can name the Foundation as the contingent beneficiary.
Name the Foundation as a beneficiary of a life insurance policy or annuity. You may also discuss transferring ownership of a life insurance policy with the Foundation.
Potential benefits may include:
- Charitable income tax deductions
- Future support for the Mitchell Technical College Foundation
- Reduced estate tax implications
Gifts of appreciated securities or other qualifying assets may support Mitchell Tech without using cash. A direct gift of eligible assets may provide a charitable deduction and reduce capital gains tax. Contact the Foundation before making a transfer.
Real estate, such as land or a home, may be donated outright or through an estate plan, subject to Foundation review and acceptance. A qualifying gift may provide charitable tax benefits and create meaningful support for students.
With a charitable gift annuity, a donor makes a gift to a charity in exchange for fixed payments to one or two people for life; the remainder supports the charity. It may provide predictable income and a partial charitable deduction. Ask the Foundation about availability and arrangements.
A charitable remainder trust pays income to you or other beneficiaries for a term or lifetime, with the remainder eventually supporting charity. An annuity trust pays a fixed dollar amount; a unitrust pays a fixed percentage of its annually valued assets, so payments can vary. These trusts may provide income and a partial charitable deduction.
A charitable lead trust provides payments to charity for a set period; the remaining assets then pass to family members or other beneficiaries. It can support the Foundation during the trust term and may offer estate or gift tax advantages.
Donate equipment, tools, technology, supplies or other useful items to help students learn with industry-relevant resources. Proposed gifts are reviewed by the College and Foundation to ensure they meet current needs and requirements.
Gift acceptance and tax benefits depend on the type of gift and individual circumstances. The Foundation does not provide legal, tax or financial advice. Please consult your professional advisors when considering a gift.
